Registration for the 2026 ball season is now officially open for players, coaches, managers, and umpires. Whether your child is stepping onto the diamond for the first time or returning for another season, or whether you're planning to volunteer in a leadership or support role, now is the time to get signed up. Early registration helps us plan teams, confirm coaches, organize facilities, and ensure we’re ready to deliver another strong season for the Ponoka Minor Ball community.
Player Registration:
Registration is open across all Community REC Baseball (Mixed) and Softball (Girls) age divisions with a deadline to register by February 15, 2026.
Learn to Play (7U & 5U) registration is also open.
If your child is interested in 11U Competitive AA Baseball, please note that the deadline is much earlier, on January 31, 2026. We're working within a short timeline to confirm whether a team will form, so registration is important if interested. Please reach out if you have any questions about what a Competitive AA season looks like compared to Community REC. The 11U Age Division includes players born in 2015 & 2016, but is also open to those born in 2017 depending on skill level, physical attributes, and psychological readiness.

Coach Volunteers:
Coach registration is open for all roles: head coach, assistant coach, or practice helper. Even if you’re unsure about your availability, registering now helps us plan ahead. A coaches meeting will be scheduled for late February or early March, with more details to come. If you're looking for more information regarding coaching, please get in touch.

Baseball Umpires Wanted (Ages 12 and Up):
Is your child 12 or older and interested in umpiring baseball? Are you an adult that loves baseball and is going to be at games anyway? Umpires are paid between $45 and $65 per game, depending on the age division. Upcoming clinic information and locations will be sent to those who register through Spordle or you can reach out to me via email to get put on the list.
Note: If you have any questions regarding umpiring, please reach out to ponokamb.baseball@gmail.com. We are currently without an umpire coordinator, if you have interest in this position we'd love to bring you on board. We're also open to non-board member volunteers to coordinate umpires after the season gets started.
